Frankie is a handsome aged between 3-4 years old black and white male whose owners abandoned him, leaving him overnight in a cat carrier in the middle of a park. When Frankie was brought to The Mayhew he was absolutely petrified and took several days before letting anyone come near him.
Going to a foster home gave us the opportunity to see how he settled into a home environment. Frankie proved to be an affectionate, yet independent cat who enjoys playing, especially if feathers are involved! He can be left during the day, and is therefore fine for those who work full-time, as long he has free access to outside to come and go as he pleases.
Frankie dislikes other cats and would therefore need to go to a household without any existing cats so he can rule the roost. He dislikes being in small rooms/spaces/cat carriers, which tend to make him stressed. Although he has experienced being around young children we feel teenages or an all-adult environment would be more suitable.
Frankie was left traumatised by his previous experience and simply needs the love and attention he deserves. In return, he will make a lovely companion.
