Coco and Ebony are 2 year old female Black and White Domestic Short-Haired Cats. The sisters are absolutely devoted to each other and love each other’s company. They are not so good around people as they are very nervous. We don’t think they were handled at all in their previous home. We have all spent lockdown together so its given us a chance to see their characters and spend time with them to start building their confidence.
Ebony is the more adventurous of the two, she likes exploring cupboards and wardrobes. Coco follows her around to see what she’s doing and will meow for her if she isn’t sure where she’s hiding. They both like warm comfy places to sleep. They love playing chase with each other, racing up and down the stairs, and under the beds at top speed. Their favourite toys are ping pong balls. They also enjoy sitting at the window bird watching, and generally watching the world go by.
We have managed to get them both purring with some gentle head rubs. They are not good with being handled at the moment, and are not lap cats. They are looking for an owner who has the time and patience to continue the work we have been doing. They are not suitable for a home with other pets or children. It would need to be a quiet house where they can feel safe. They are to be re-homed together given how close they are, and they seem to feel safe with each other around. They might be more suited to being indoor cats, certainly to start off with.
They are very sweet cats and we are hopeful that with the right forever home they will continue to gain in confidence. They deserve a chance!
